Managing a company is much like holding a set of strings in your hands and knowing which one to pull when you want something to happen. A skilled manager knows exactly how the company is wired and which string is attached where and how they interact. 

An interim manager usually has a specific task and your  first priority should be  to learn to know the company and how it is wired. Once you know that, you can execute the job that you are hired to do and, with the greatest respect to the human factor,  pull the right strings to bring the company to a next level. 

CONSULTANCY 

The primary role of a consultant is to give advice and to be able to do that ,the consultant needs to have expertise of the subject matter. This can be expertise that the client company  does not possess or is struggling with. The most important asset for a consultant there for is to have the expertise or to have access to people that have the expertise . 

A consultant with a wide and relevant network of people can be a huge contribution for a company. Consultancy is much about connecting people, bringing them together and with that, make the client-company stronger. 

TRADE ​

In today’s world, the purpose of trade is to  acquire an income. A successful business is based on one simple rule and that is favoring. As a business, your customer favors you with an order and in turn you favor your supplier with an order. 

Every type of business has its own supply chain. These supply chains sometimes have many levels  and you have to understand your position in the supply chain. There is somebody in front of you in the chain but there is also somebody behind you. Every level in the chain is needed. 

Healthy businesses need to make a profit and that goes for every level in the chain. If you can recognize that and favor the other levels with their share of the pie, you can build a successful and lasting business and a  strong network of people around you  that will support you to grow.
